“Must have been 30 or 40 years ago, wait a sec, hmm…that’s my time, not Earth time. Guess it’s been a couple hundreds years Earth time, never was that good at math (really was Raft’s department). Anyways, back I was two steps bigger than knee high my Granpops used to tell me the old stories, show me the old holo reels from when they first sent man into deep space. Everything would go fine until the hibernation ended. Then the trouble began, transmission became scarcer, vital sign reports read less accurate -then ceased, transmissions began to come across broken, filled with ramblings and non-sequitors. There were still people aboard, they were still sending reports and continued for weeks until they abruptly ceased. This happened on flight after flight.
