some festival news

hello my fellow riders of the intertubes!

how fare ye today? things are hot, hot, hot in Los Angeles…and it looks like the heat is going to continue.

have some exciting festival news to share with you. first, my screenplay NIGHT HAUL (which I wrote in Sheep Ranch at the end of last year) is a Semi-Finalist at Shriekfest! this is the first screenplay festival I’ve submitted to and pretty excited to have done well.

second, CERTIFIED is an official selection of Vegas Cine Fest in…you guessed it Los Vegas, Nevada!

Vegas Cine Laurel

we’ve been getting into a BUNCH of festivals recently. I’ll be announcing these over the coming weeks… so stay tuned.

that’s it for now, got to get back to working on FOUND in KITSAP.

I’m going to leave you with another film based on Saki’s “Open Window.” this one adapts the story to modern times in Florida! I really like some of what they did – the golf and twins were a nice touch. a couple times they seemed to forget it was an adaptation – like when the girls said it was “chilly” but were wearing short sleeves and the man saying it was “hot” but wearing long sleeves and a jacket. also, they didn’t change the girls’ final line from the original work – which doesn’t really make sense in the context of modern day Florida.

anyhoo, here it is!
