hey friends,

it’s been a pretty exciting week for me…I’ve got some great announcements coming soon.

in the meantime, here are a couple trailers I found on the interwebz that I thought were particularly interesting.

Legend of the Fist
there’s a several things I like about this. first off, it’s awesome. but besides my initial fan-boy love, the trailer is well paced, has great action, compelling characters, and an interesting setting that I have never seen before in film. a masked vigilante in Sino-occupied China circa 1925??? yes.

one of the amazing aspects of cinema is that ability to take us to new and interesting places.

plus it looks about 1000000x cooler than the Green Hornet.

Alien vs. Ninja
now this is an entirely different sort of film. and from the exploding sushi intro, it doesn’t let you forget it.

it’s a good, ol’ b-movie mashup. it seems like someone said, “oh hey, ninjas are cool.” and some else replied “so are aliens.” then the collective lightbulb went on. and that is a good thing.

if you’re going to make a campy movie, go all out.

any of you have a preference in your martial art films, serious vs. silly? high budget vs. b-movie?
